Arnhem Land Artwork

Arnhem Land Artwork is one of the long lasting traditions of the Aboriginal Australian culture. The artwork entails culture and symbolism specific to the area. It also has a very unique style, making it different to other Aboriginal art. Arnhem Land artwork consists of people, animals and weapons. The artists paint what they see, in comparison to other Aboriginal artwork styles which paints using symbolism. Arnhem Land artwork can be painted on bark, canvas, arches paper and other materials. The skill of painting is passed from one generation to the next, and specific stories of artworks are unique to each family. At AAIA, we work closely with many artists, thus we consistently have new artworks available. See below for our range of Arnhem Land artworks.

Aboriginal Fine Arts Gallery is a founding member of the Australian Indigenous Art Trade Association, which was established to promote the ethical trade of indigenous art.
